General:
I am a female who has a BS in Computer Science and is currently working as a user interface developer for a software company. When I first starting making websites, it was all about Anime sites for me, but I have now settled down to making sites that offer services for webmasters. For my ramblings, silent-whiteCOM (my blog) is the place to go, and shattered-wingsNET is where all my sites are listed.
Experience:I've been web designing since 1999. I started teaching myself by viewing other people's sources and by experimenting around with Adobe Photoshop 5.0. (I now use 6.0). I basically learn as I go.
As for actual work experience, I actually have some. I freelance through Blue Sky Designs (formally Broken Wings) and have earned enough money to keep my domains alive. In the beginning, I averaged 6-8 clients a month; now with more people to help me, I do 2-3 a month. I also work on NoteMesh on the side with three other friends.
As mentioned, my real job is being a software developer for a software's user interface. I do programming, styling, and some graphics work. Because the software is web-based, I actually use skills that I've picked up through web designing.
